Hey Ya’ll!!!
Snowing here in Nashville!!! Maybe I’ll get stuck here…ha! Studios and meetings today! Signed with E1 Distribution this week! So this is a good day! ;) Gettin’ ready to eat supper before I get snowed in, but thought I would check out Ronica Coldiron and her very long titled video “First Day Of The Rest Of My Love Life”! :) Ronica joins the long list of independents paving their own way on the long road to Nashville! ;) Even with a low-budget video, this sassy songstress turns up the heat with some great party shots. I give it a 5!

Hey Ya’ll!!!
Here comes the snow! Or so they say! ;) Going down the list of new videos on Yallwire.com right now and since I’d been there and had the t-shirt, thought I would check out WV natives The Simmons Brothers and their video for “Party Like A Rock Star”. This video made the mediocre song look fun! Some great quick shots in the beginning had me all excited, and even though the video seemed to fizzle towards the end, the twins kept my attention! Just hopin’ nobody regrets it in the morning! ha! I give the video a 7!

Running thru the list of recently added videos on Yallwire.com, I came across an interesting video by Chaffee Kid called “Play By the Rules”. I couldn’t find anything on this artist :(, so I hope I am not linking myself to any political scandals… ha! I thought the video had some great humor and the song (which I must say on record I neither agree nor disagree with) has a lot to say about the present state of our country. Are you ready for your soap box? ;) I give this video a 6!

Hey Ya’ll!
Checkin’ out Canadian artist Jessie Farrell and her video for “You Make Me Feel” today! Nice fun summer video from this Universal Artist on a cold winter afternoon! I wasn’t sure, but something about the way this video was shot made Jessie look like she was 10 feet tall!!! I was looking for stilts! ha! Overall a catchy tune with a great Merry-Go-Round shot…..the breakdown seemed a little weird for me…maybe it’s a Canadian thing? ;) I give this video 7!

So who watched the Grammy’s last night? Very interesting as always! :) In keeping with the Grammy mindset, I thought I would check out Universal Republic’s artist Margaret Durante covering Kings Of Leon’s Grammy winner “Use Somebody”. Durante…hmm? Any famous relatives there Margaret? Fabulous song and great shots makes this video worth a look. Durante’s country twist to this pop song shows a well written song can connect to folks no matter what the genre! I give this video a 7!

Waitin’ for the snow! ;) Checking out former Miss West Virgina Julia Burton and her video for “What A Woman Wants”. Julia dishes it out straight up about what a woman really wants…especially from a man! (Which I found to be a confusing part of the song, but I’ll give it a couple more listens!) Anywho… this was a cute song accompanied by a well shot video emphasizing a 6 foot tall beauty in every type of sexy scene imaginable. Who even cares what it sounds like? ;) I give this video a 6!

Eatin’ pizza, checking out independent artist Jason Rogers and his video for “It Ain’t Braggin’”! Here you have your standard bar scene: a couple chicas, a pool table, and a band that’s ready to fight… WHAT?? Huh? Or at least that’s what this Canadian artist is suggesting, I think!? The lack of emotion in an otherwise sassy song leaves me a little confused. But hey….he does have a nice bus! ;) I give the video a 4!

Just watched el Presidente’s State of the Union Address…and about now I need to “Giddy On Up”, according to Mercury recording artist from Lexington, KY Laura Bell Bundy! ;) Another “Wow” for me…a lot of folks in their underwear in this one! ha! Though a little reminiscent of Miss Underwood’s last video, this humorous “Ol’ Western” shows off not only more body, but more acting and dancin’ (exactly what I would expect from a former Broadway actress)! Not sayin’ that it’s all good and right for a music video….but kept me entertained watching it the first time! I give this video an 8!

Bunches of meetins’ this week! All I really want to do is PLAY!!! :( It’s all good tho….
Watched him move up on the Music charts, so I thought I would check out Keni Thomas and his video for “Gunslinger”! Man…this video looked dangerous!!! I was expecting…(ok, hoping for!) one of those disclaimers at the end…”No animals or humans were hurt in the making of this video!!” Didn’t happen though! :( The video actually looked fun to make and kept my attention even though the song was a little hard to follow. I especially loved all the gals in the band! :) Now who’s ready for a little mutton bustin’! haha! I give this video an 8!

What a crazy weekend!! :) Anyways, back to emails and phone calls today. Thought I would check out a top 20 CMT video this week from Kellie Pickler, “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You”. Wow…Ms. Pickler made me blush! Sexy song, sexy outfits, and sexy poses basically wraps up this video! Great shots (reminds me of Castle Cantania in Sicily), along with ”almost” sepia color washes give Kellie and this video a definite glow!!! Beach scenes were a little Shania Twainish, but hey…it’s been at least 10 years, right? ;) I give this video an 7!
